Recognition of humanitarian protection if the applicant was a minor when leaving his/her Country

Order of 19 December 2016 of the Court of Torino

The Court of Torino, with order of 19 December 2016, although stating that the situation in Gambia - the applicant's Country of origin - did not meet the requirements for the recognition of international protection, it nonetheless deemed that said Country was characterised by many and serious violations of human rights. Therefore, the Judge, in light of said situation, decided to recognise humanitarian protection, considering that the seeker had left the Country of origin when still a minor and had no relationships left in said Country.
